The event that was attended was the at the Denver Museum of Art for the AIGA event recognizing the Psychedelic Poster Exhibit. Going into the event I was familiar with what to expect, and to say the least it was as I had predicted. There was the introduction to what is psychedelic art then we were able to view the exhibit.

With the overall event I was not amazed by anything that had occured. I feel that the commentary with the introduction of the artist and what the exhibit was about could have been worked on. Like most people there I already knew what to expect of the style of the psychedelic posters that were being displayed, but I did like the stories of the artist. It gave more insight into the minds of these artist that created the posters. Going through the exhibit I was thinking of how when these posters were being created that the artist was most likely never thinking that some day this will be recognized as art and would be displayed in a museum. That fact amazed me, along with the detail and craftsmen ship of the posters. It was amazing how prestine of shape these were mantained and how lucky we were there to see them.

The exhibition in itself is worth attending, but the even over all was a bit of a let down. This was one of the better exhibitions that I have seen the at the Denver Art Museum.
